When Blue Dock was founded in 2014, it was from a desire to do things differently. As consultants, Henrik and Jesper were tired of never being able to deliver a 100% finished solution within the agreed budget – they thought it could be done differently and much more flexible for customers and at a lower price and a fixed price. It should be expected that a consultant is the expert and understands the customer’s needs – does this not happen after the finance is agreed, it is the sole responsibility of the consultant and not the customer!

Most consultants charge DKK 5.000-20,000 for a “service agreement” that gives you the mere possibility to call and get support. Then, if it is an urgent task to be prioritized, you will often face double taxation to get the job done.

We do NOT charge for any kind of service agreement and if you have an important task, we will put your task at the forefront of the queue. If we did not do this, we would expect you to complain and eventually risk you finding a different supplier.
Anything else would seem unnatural!

We believe, that the fact that all clients we have worked with are still Blue Dock clients, is not a coincidence, but  very much due to our principles:

Nobody wants to pay more than agreed

We deliver at a fixed price even if the customer has become smarter or has changed their requirements for functionality and design. If this happens, we have not been good enough to uncover the needs before startup.

We work visually from the first meeting to delivery

When we begin a collaboration, you will not receive hundreds of pages of technical terms and descriptions. We draw your solution in 1: 1 ratio, so you can see exactly what you can expect.

We deliver the highest quality in the industry at the best price

We are always 30-50% cheaper than our competitors even though we work with a fixed price and they work with an estimate that in 90% of cases ends up being twice as expensive.

How we do it? We keep our fixed costs at a minimum

  • We do not have a cost heavy management, sales or administration team that is not billable – We have professional specialists who all earn their wages. Our administration is outsourced to specialists
  • We do not pay high costs for fancy offices. We are spread all over Denmark and want to be as close to our customers as possible. We do not hide in an office. Instead, we have a flexible office plan.

On the other hand, we give the industry’s highest wages to our consultants. We do that as part of retaining them and ensuring you always meet the same consultant and should they one day wish to do something else with a different company we have no clauses to prevent them from continuing to work with you as a customer – The customer follows the consultant if the customer wishes to do so – we find this best for everyone!

Introduction & clarification:

In many ways, this is the most important phase as we determine your company’s needs and requirements for your new IT solution. This is also the foundation of the next item:

Offer

Unlike others, we do not give an estimate – we make an offer. The offer you receive is exaclty the price that will be invoiced upon delivery. If the projects turns out to be more comprehensive and more expensive, it is because we did not know your needs and requirements well enough at the beginning. Thus, it is our fault and not something you should pay for.

Development & workshops

Now the development phase is starting but not without milestones. In order to constantly ensure that the final product lives up to your expectation 100%, we have workshops along the way to present you to the solution as it takes form. Very often, the client change needs and requirements during the development process and there must be room for that. After each workshop, we can rectify – or change course completely – if you change requirements.

Test

Once the product is finished, we test the solution in close cooperation with your company. If there are any challenges or adjustments to your application, we, of course, can correct this – all without any extra charge.

Delivery & instructions

Once you have your new solution, there may be a need for teaching, which of course we are also happy to deliver. Whether it is an online or physical session at your place, we are available.
